Biography
John V. Courtney is the Director of Indiana University Executive Education for the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. He has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology industry as a sales director and general manager, leading diverse teams of sales, marketing, technical software engineering and project managers.
John has worked for AT&T, HP, Microsoft and Oracle during his career. He has received several awards including Top Achiever’s Club, Balance Ward, Teamwork Award, President’s Award for Excellence, and Leader’s Council. He has been in the top 1% of sales for 4 different companies. John also consults with organizations and private equity firms on data center infrastructure, cloud data management and alliance/channel sales distribution models. His areas of expertise include sales leadership, sales organization structure, data management and protection, cybersecurity, cloud strategy, AI/Machine Learning and strategic planning.
As Director of Executive Education at the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, John leads a team of over 50 faculty and staff who provide the highest level of graduate and executive education, leadership development and strategic organizational consulting. Executive Education’s programs are offered locally, nationally, and internationally, serving public administration, nonprofit, and healthcare clients and students.
